This was on my To Do List for way too long - about 10 years! And I think I've done it, made a sweet fanny pack in a great size - not too small, not too big. It has a rear zipper pocket too! And a heavy weight harness leather belt, with a solid brass buckle. The zippers are industrial quality. This design has quite a few pattern pieces, it's more technical production work than some of my classic minimal styles. Labour intensive yes. Tough, durable, beautiful and functional too. Randi uses high quality leather hides, ranging in finish and hand, from supple pebbly black upholstery weight hides, to specialized oil-tanned heavey weight hides. All hardware and trim are industrial quality.

Randi shares an equal love for the design process and the role of the maker. With each Ora piece, she does her best to blend function and aesthetic. Drawing from her diverse background of craft skills, she aims for quality and durability every time. More than anything else, the medium of leather inspires Randi’s design process, in addition to vintage inspirations, and the influences of her life long associations with the equestrian world.

Randi’s diverse educational background includes a Diploma in Fine Arts, an Advanced Textile Arts Certificate, trade certification in Automotive Upholstery and Industrial Sewing, and she graduated from Helen Lefeaux School of Fashion Design in 2007.
