The elegant salad servers in the Hoop-series are made of carbonized ash wood. Carbonizing is an old Japanese technique where the surface of the wood is “burned” leaving the wood with a beautiful dark glow. The method ensures that the deep glow of the wood isnaturally obtained without any use of staining or other chemicals.
