Designed by Skagerak Design
Your knife’s new best friend. Assembled by small pieces of teak end grain, each cutting board has a unique pattern. Teak contains natural oils resistant to moisture and germs and the upward fibres on end grain expertly absorb any impact from the blade of a knife. This ensures top-notch durability for both the board and knives.

Teak Origin:
Teak is commonly found in Southeast Asia, Central and South America. Our FSC-certified teak comes from Central America, Brazil and Indonesia, while our non-certified teak comes from plantations in Southeast Asia and Trinidad.
Why Teak?
Teak is a heavy, hard and sturdy type of wood. With a high content of natural oils, teak is resistant to rot and fungus – making it an ideal material choice for everyday household articles.
Cleaning:
After use, we recommend washing both sides of the cutting board. To keep the board straight and with a similar colour on both sides, let it dry off in an upright position. This product is not suitable for dishwasher. Do not dry it on a hot element as this can cause cracks on the surface. Before using your cutting board for the first time, please make sure to clean it with soapy water.
Maintenance:
When you receive your new cutting board, you might find it stained or greasy, this comes from the oil finish we applied to the board before wrapping it. The stains are accumulations of colouring matter and will soon disappear as the board is exposed to light and air. In the beginning, the oil may extract some of the colouring matter which can leave stains on a light surface.
The teak has been treated with food safe oil to improve its resistance. Therefore, we recommend that you treat the wood regularly with a suitable oil – e.g. worktop oil – to preserve the glow and resistance. If the product is not oiled continuously, the surface may change colour over time and become silvery grey.
