Guardian of Abundance
Hole in the back for hanging on the wall.
why I made these:
In 2024, a wildfire moved through Jasper National Park. I lost my personal artist studio and the co-work space I built for my community, but my home remained standing.
When I returned, I was greeted by the Wall Guardian displayed in my entrance. I like to believe it protected my space.
These pieces began as part of my own healing. Now, they are made as my offerings to the world.
A small ritual object for grounding and protection for your inner and outer landscapes.
The instructions are simple: Hang near an entrance or meaningful space. Set an intention for what you wish this Guardian to hold.
Celina is a ceramic artist and creative based on Vancouver Island
Celina’s work is molded from the essence of our inner and outer landscapes. Exploring, colour, form, energy into art that will outlive us all.
We are gifted skin to feel pleasure. Eyes to digest awe. Lungs to soak with moss. Hands to translate messages from the unseen.
I think there is a lot of power in beauty.
And hopefully that inspires other people to create and share beauty as well. And the world will become more beautiful. Things that feel good, tend to duplicate.
Clay has the power to communicate what words cannot. There is no hiding bush, it is the benevolent teacher and ultimate illumination of our emotional world.
An invitation to dig into the most guttural spaces of the psyche, and to surf those inner waves into form. Essence to form.
We will all move through our own version of a wildfire in this lifetime. Depending on the lens scorched earth can feel desolate—or it can become nutrient potent soil, ready for new seeds.
I prefer to plant seeds.
